I have been eyeing this place for years and finally gave in today. As you can see by the amount of stars, like most millenial women I was not pleased. I ordered combo 8 off the menu cuz I luv dem chicken balls. #notnice the whole thing was a mess, no flavour no innovation, what's fresh? Thanks for tonight though, I really thought things would work out. Get well soon...bye.🤝

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I was hoping it would be a really great place but the food was just horrible. Absolutely don taste. I was quite disgusted. I will never be back again!!!!

My family and I have been going to China house since I was a little girl and it was across the road. The owners are fantastic people and all the senior staff knows my family well. My sister had her special rice that they were always happy to make for her. The food and portion sizes are incredible definitely a place to check out if you haven't yet!!

Best egg rolls I've ever eaten. Nice quiet restaurant. Other food was really good but I admit last time it was the greatest food ever and this time it wasn't quite as good.

I did some work at the owners, Phils, house in 2017. He still has yett to pay me and has not returned any of my calls or many reminder statments of the sum that he owes me. Have sent his info to collections as well.Wouldnt support this guy with his restraunt due to his very very poor business manors. You have something done, you pay for it, not a hard thing to understand.

Owner is amazing, and the dining experience is one of the best in Cambridge. Highly recommend to both first-time and returning tourists. This establishment knows great customer service and exercises it from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave.

Standard good westernized Chinese food. There's plenty of free parking and lots of space inside. The location on Hespeler Road might be a con, as it is hard to get to it due to traffic. The entrance is fully automatic and barrier free. They have a large waiting room, which is especially good when waiting for take out

Very tasty Chinese food

Have been going here since I was a little kid, loved it then and still love it now. Definitely my favourite restaurant in Cambridge. It's a family run business and the owners are incredibly friendly.

Very poor customer service. We just visited them and the lady at the counter was so rude.No doubt, that is why no client in the restaurant. Worst experience. Will never eat in such a restaurant.

Philip the owner is the most benevolent man on earth and has a great sense of humour. His dedication to the entire business is admirable. The food is delicious. The haters are outright liars. Way to go Philip! Keep up the great work.

great food, great people

I have been going to china house for as long as I can remember the service and the food has always been amazing which is why I always go back ..... unfortunately this will be the last time I will be eating at this restaurant due to the fact that I found a STAPLE in the chicken fried rice. I was chewing the rice and spit it out immediately when I felt something sharp stab my tongue. I'm very disappointed.

I don’t understand how people are saying the food is “fresh” and yummy. We aren’t from Cambridge and decided to order some Chinese for lunch. The person taking my order was rude, and demanded to know when i would be there to pick-up. I advised him i would need to know when the food would be ready and he said “well you’re the boss” and refused to tell me when it would be ready. I told him i would be there in 10 minutes. The food wasn’t good at all. The egg roll was bland, lacking any salt, and I had grease running down my face every time i took a bite. The diced beef with vegetables and almonds probably had 5 pieces of beef and the rest was all veg. I will never be ordering from here again. The customer service alone would make me not want to come here.

I feel that the food was delicious and great. It was plentiful. The waitress seemed rushed and the service could use an improvement.

It's not bad food but there is far better in town

Don’t eat here. This is not real or good Chinese food. Tastes like reheated M&Ms food. Very expensive and the parking lot is always empty for good reason. We stayed at the hotel beside and gave it a try. So disappointed. Go across the street to Ben Thanh for dim sum or pho or pad thai to get your Asian food fix. Those reviews who say this is best Chinese food in Cambridge never had the good stuff in Hamilton, Mississauga, or Toronto. Really regret listening to those reviews.

Food is bland, bland, bland. I bought a fried rice, chow mein, mixed vegetables, chicken, and chicken balls. Nothing had any real taste. Only the fortune cookie was good...which is sad. I spent $80, which would have been $100 but I had paid cash so I received 20% off. Way over priced. I could have ordered something similar in Toronto or Hakka food from Faley's on Rexdale for half the price and with FLAVOUR. I only bought from here on my way home because my family asked for Chinese food and I was already halfway home. The hostess who works there was nice though and helpful going through there menu. I did not see a name tag or take her name. She was the only positive experience.

We stayed at the hotel beside this restaurant and ordered takeout. The food was ready when we arrived. It was hot and packaged well. Very friendly and funny owner who seemed to really care about his establishment and customers. I found the food very well prepared and delicious!

Fantastic Food and service. A little difficult to get to with the exit to the 401 right there off Hespeler Rd. but worth it. Menu is extensive and the price column appears a little steep. However proportionally everything works out. I will definitely stop there again. They serve a great PUPU platter.
